Arnulf S. Manhold

Arnulf S. Manhold is a Strategic Business Advisor in Investor Services.

Following his graduation from Munich University in Business Administration he spent nine years in the Insurance Industry.  In 1984, he commenced his international career with Euroclear, operated by Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York  in Brussels.

From 1989 to 1995 he was as First Vice President instrumental in establishing the Global Custody and Securities Lending business for Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) in Basle and Zurich.

From 1995 to 1998 he was Board Member of Deutsche Boerse Clearing AG (now Clearstream Banking Frankfurt) and responsible for the overall co-ordination of the Euro introduction within Deutsche Boerse Group.

From 1999 to 2005 he was a Board Member of J.P. Morgan AG in  Frankfurt  managing the Investor Services business.  He was a member of the European Investor Services Management Team in London and from 2003 to 2005 he was Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board for J.P. Morgan Fund Services GmbH.

Additionally he has been, and is actively involved in the following organisations:

  • Centre for Financial Studies (CFS) – Member of the Board of Trustees
  • Clearstream Luxembourg – Member of the User Advisory Board
  • Euroclear Brussels – Alternate & Associate Director of the Supervisory Board
  • Exchanges and Financial Markets Central and Eastern Europe mbH – Member of the Advisory Board
  • European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA) – Secretary
  • Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) – Member of the Working Party on Capital Markets and EMU
  • Working Committee of Protestant Entrepreneurs – Member since 2006
  • European Finance Forum - CEO since March 2008
