Dr. Peters is attorney at law and a partner in the Hamburg office of the German commercial law firm Raupach & Wollert-Elmendorff. He focuses on Banking & Finance, Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions. His clients include North German industrial and commer-cial enterprises and international groups as well as investment companies, life insurers and medium-sized financial services providers.

Mr. Peters was a trainee at Commerzbank AG and was employed in several divisions of the bank in Hamburg, Dresden and Barcelona between 1988 and 1996. He studied law in Ham-burg and Bilbao (Spain) and received a doctor’s degree for his thesis on the liability and the regulation of rating agencies. His career as a lawyer led him to Vienna, Sacramento, Los Angeles and London where, besides his profession as attorney at law, he also worked for the International Trade Law Branch of the United Nations and in the legal department of the financial services division of HBOS plc.
