Joost van der Does de Willebois, Deputy CFO / Member of the Management Committee of NYSE, Euronext, Amsterdam


Joost van der Does de Willebois (46) studied commercial law at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands). He started his career in 1984 at Royal Dutch / Shell plc. For 14 years at Shell he fulfils different executive positions in Rotterdam, Paris, Bordeaux and in the French overseas territories in South en Middle America. In 1998 he switched to the ING Group, were he also fulfils different executive positions. He started as a managing director at Postbank N.V. In 2000 he was appointed as manager of strategy and communications of the ING Group and in 2002 he became member of the management of ING Netherlands. Since 2004 he has joined Euronext as a CFO and member of the board of Euronext Amsterdam.

    Did you ever ask yourself why Euronext did not cooperate with a European Stock Exchange like “Frankfurter Börse”? Instead of cooperation with Frankfurter Börse, Euroext was convinced that a merger with the New York Stock Exchange offers them a better prospect and much more opportunities in future.
