Dr. Gertrude Tumpel-Gugerell, Member of the Executive Board, European Central Bank
und Gerard Hartsink, Chairman European Payments Council and Senior Vicepresident, ABN AMRO Bank
With three months to go before the start, the SEPA project has reached a critical stage. Although banks have already invested time and money to prepare, more is needed in the coming months. Communication efforts needed to be stepped up. Migration services need to be offered. Moreover, SEPA can not be complete with only basic and core products; future-oriented products that meet the needs of customers should be developed. Given the location of the event, and the presence of German bankers, some specific concerns and messages on the German payments market will be included in the speech.
